Eating for Health

A must-read is Cure Tooth Decay by Ramiel Nagel.  https://www.amazon.com/Cure-Tooth-Decay-Cavities-Nutrition/dp/1434810607/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1528833642&sr=1-1&keywords=cure+tooth+decay+by+ramiel+nagel.  Based on the work of Weston A. Price, DDS, see https://price-pottenger.org/, who studied the diets of both people with the strongest, healthiest teeth, and those with the most decayed.  Nagel paints a picture of the best way to eat for tooth, and general health, and discusses the best dental options when intervention is needed.  He says that untreated whole grains cause tooth decay, as well as sugar and refined carbohydrates because they disrupt the calcium-phosphorus balance in the blood.  Nagel recommends high-quality animal protein and dairy, and vegetables.  This is echoed in Dr. Terry Wahls book The Wahls Protocolhttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1583335544/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_8?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1.  Wahls was able to greatly reduce her MS symptoms with changes to her diet.  She calculated and tested the amounts of fruits, vegetables, and protein the body needs to heal.  She also recommends eliminating gluten and sugar.
